Chris Chappell BSc, MSc. has 5 years of experience in the 3D Printing world. Before moving into 3D Printing he attended the pioneering University of Leeds Nanotechnology BSc and MSc programs. This has given Chris a background covering areas such as material science, semiconductor manufacture and biochemistry. All of which are benefitting from 3D printing technologies, and in turn contribute to it.
His main focus has been to develop 3D printed prosthetics, and to this end he has contributed to such projects as the Robohand project and is an ongoing contributor to the E-nable project. His current focus is to combine 3D scanning and 3D printing to produce highly customised prosthetics.
He has worked at Hobs Reprographics, which offers the leading bespoke 3D printing service in the UK. He has experience with multiple different 3D Printing methods such as FFF(Fused Filament Fabrication), SLA, SLS and full colour powder printing.
For 3 years he has operated an online shop on Shapeways.com, which is the leading online international 3D Printing service.
He also offers expertise designing for 3D Printing as well as consulting services for integrating 3D printing into businesses.
